The platform gathers information on venues, exhibitions, and events, from museums and foundations to galleries, cultural centers, and artist-run spaces, building a constantly updated, searchable map of the contemporary art landscape.
Free, independent, and intentionally borderless, 1cubicMETER invites users to discover connections, compare worlds, and read the global art scene as a single, ever-changing landscape.
Once you submit your event or venue and complete the payment, your location will be immediately visible on the map.
Before submitting, please note what we mean by contemporary art: the platform focuses on visual arts and their expanded forms — painting, sculpture, installation, new media, video art, performance, and hybrid or experimental formats. We do not accept music events, concerts, classical theater, traditional film screenings, or DJ sets.
Eligible events include openings, vernissages, finissages, short-term or long-term exhibitions, performances, and similar contemporary art events. Events can be submitted in advance, even if they take place months after the submission date.
Eligible venues include galleries, cultural centers, artist-run spaces, artist studios or ateliers, art residencies, and experimental or research-driven spaces connected to contemporary art.
